Welcome to Derriford Church website.
I hope you find what you need and find it useful.

I am Rev. Stuart Nixon, minister of this church and would like to tell you a bit about who we are and where we are going.
Derriford Church belongs to the United Reformed Church and is a member of the Evangelical Alliance.
We seek to love and serve Jesus as our Lord and Saviour.
As an outworking of that love and service we believe that we are called to a
“ Family Friendly Church through Welcome, Worship and Witness.”

Family Friendly

Our worship, programmes and life are developed around all ages and abilities.
No one is too young or too old! As our commitment to this and particularly to our work with children and young people we have recently received the United Reformed Church´s “Child Friendly Church Award.”

Welcome

Derriford Church has always been known as a welcoming church. But we are always looking to extend our welcome beyond our walls to the community in which we are situated.
This is very often done through hospitality.

Worship

Our worship seeks to honour God and provide space for personal encounter with the living Lord Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our worship combines contemporary songs and traditional hymns and focuses on the preaching of God´s Word as our guide and authority for our journey with Christ Jesus.
We are seeking to encourage whole body ministry and this is seen in our worship with many using their various gifts.

Witness

Our desire is to provide challenge, love and meet the needs of our community, whatever their age, gender or belief.
Much of this at present is through our children´s and youth ministry and our ministry to the elderly.
Encouragement for our witness is carried out through teaching relevant to today and through our network of housegroups.

We very much hope you enjoy using this website and we look forward to meeting you in the very near future.
Yours in the love of Jesus
Stuart
